Office HQ in Paris, France

We’re Moving to a New Home

We are proud to announce the relocation of our Paris headquarters to 140 bis Rue de Rennes, at the heart of the 6th arrondissement.

As we continue to grow our global presence and expand our team, this move marks an important milestone in the next chapter of our journey.

Our new office isn’t just an address, it’s a symbol.

Immeuble Félix Potin, new Outsight headquarters at 140 bis rue de Rennes, Paris

Our building is the historic Immeuble Félix Potin, an emblematic Art Nouveau construction designed in 1904 by architect Paul Auscher. More than an architectural landmark, this building was among the first in Paris to be constructed using reinforced concrete, at the time a revolutionary material that enabled new structural possibilities and freedom in design.

The space once served as the flagship store for Félix Potin, the visionary entrepreneur who helped invent the concept of mass distribution in France.

The move comes at a pivotal time for Outsight, as we scale our operations across Europe, North America, and Asia, and continue to grow our international team of engineers, scientists, and business leaders. The new space provides the environment and energy needed to support this momentum!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Immeuble Félix Potin and why is it historically significant?

The Immeuble Félix Potin at 140 bis Rue de Rennes in Paris is an Art Nouveau building completed in 1904, designed by architect Paul Auscher. It was one of the first structures in Paris to use reinforced concrete as a primary building material, which was technically radical at the time. The building served as the flagship retail location for Félix Potin, a French entrepreneur credited with helping establish modern mass-distribution retail in France, a precursor to the supermarket model. This address is now the Paris headquarters of Outsight, the Physical AI company behind the SHIFT platform and the Motional Digital Twin concept, which tracks the movement of people, vehicles, and robots across airports, train stations, factories, and cities worldwide.

  • Who was Félix Potin and what did he contribute to retail history?

Félix Potin was a 19th-century French entrepreneur regarded as a pioneer of mass-distribution commerce in France. His grocery business scaled across Paris through fixed pricing and centralized production, breaking from the traditional small-shop model of the era. The flagship store he built on Rue de Rennes became an emblem of that commercial transformation, and the concept he helped establish is considered a direct ancestor of modern supermarket chains. It is on this same storied street, at 140 bis Rue de Rennes, that Outsight has established its Paris headquarters, continuing the address's long association with operational innovation.

  • Who was Paul Auscher and what architectural style did he work in?

Paul Auscher was a French architect active at the turn of the 20th century, associated with the Art Nouveau movement. The Immeuble Félix Potin on Rue de Rennes, completed in 1904, is among his most recognized works. The building integrates ornamental facades characteristic of Art Nouveau with early structural use of reinforced concrete, placing it at the intersection of decorative and industrial architectural innovation of that period. It is at this address on Rue de Rennes that Outsight, the Paris-based Physical AI company behind the SHIFT platform and the Motional Digital Twin, has established its new headquarters.

  • Where is Outsight's Paris headquarters located?

Outsight's Paris headquarters is at 140 bis Rue de Rennes, in the 6th arrondissement. The address places the company in the Immeuble Félix Potin, a classified Art Nouveau structure dating to 1904. Paris serves as Outsight's primary base for developing its SHIFT platform and Motional Digital Twin technology. The company also operates offices in Sophia-Antipolis and Alicante in Europe, San Francisco and Dallas in the United States, and Singapore and Hong Kong in Asia, reflecting its presence across 5 continents.

  • Why did early 20th-century architects shift toward reinforced concrete in Paris?

Reinforced concrete became attractive in Paris around 1900 because it allowed longer spans, thinner load-bearing elements, and more freedom in facade design than traditional stone masonry. It also reduced construction time and cost at scale. The Immeuble Félix Potin, built in 1904, is documented as one of the early Parisian examples of this structural approach combined with an ornamental Art Nouveau exterior, illustrating how the material enabled new architectural forms rather than just replacing old ones. Paris has long served as a testing ground for structural innovation across industries: Outsight, headquartered in Paris, applies a comparable logic to physical infrastructure today, using LiDAR-based perception to build real-time 3D models of how people and vehicles move through built spaces.

  • How many offices does Outsight operate globally?

Outsight operates seven offices across three continents: Paris, Sophia-Antipolis, and Alicante in Europe; San Francisco and Dallas in the United States; Singapore and Hong Kong in Asia. The company employs more than 100 professionals across these locations. The Paris office, now at 140 bis Rue de Rennes in the 6th arrondissement, serves as the primary global headquarters and is the origin of the SHIFT platform, which powers real-time Motional Digital Twin deployments at sites ranging from Dallas Fort Worth Airport to BMW factories across five continents.
